About the Position

This is a unique opportunity to join the Edmonds School District as a School Nurse. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans for student health and safety
  • Contribute nursing expertise in developing plans for students with health disabilities
  • Administer medication and provide other nursing services as assigned
  • Supervise immunization compliance procedures and manage vision screening programs
  • Assist in the prevention, identification, and management of communicable diseases
  • Provide health education and training
  • Support and counsel students, parents, and staff regarding physical and emotional health concerns
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, home, and medical resources
Requirements
  • Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a School Nurse or ability to obtain one
  • Complete application includes cover letter, resume, confidential reference surveys, letters of recommendation, and transcripts

Eligibility for health insurance is based on anticipated compensated hours per school year. Eligibility for retirement is based on anticipated work hours per month.
