Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Director to join our team at Wellpath. As a Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients, while also promoting a culture of excellence and innovation within our organization.

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including examining referred patients, daily infirmary visits, and thorough documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or on approved forms.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise by responding to emergencies, supervising and instructing healthcare personnel, and consulting with medical specialists and professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to established policies and standards.
• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives, including Chronic Care Clinics, pharmacy service monitoring, and liaison with community healthcare providers.
• Take an active role in reviewing and approving treatment protocols, clinical policies, and disaster plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Provide clinical oversight, participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee, and make recommendations to enhance patient care and safety.

• Medical school graduate.
• Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Public Health preferred.
• Must have and maintain current licensure within the State of employment.
• Maintains a current DEA number.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
• Must maintain privileges. Maintains CME requirements for continued medical practice in the State.
