Responsibilities
  • Support Veterinarians: Collaborate with our veterinarians to ensure high-quality patient care, advocate for pets, and educate clients on their health and wellness.
  • Facilitate Patient Flow: Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain a positive patient flow.
  • Assist with Surgeries and Procedures: Perform tasks in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with Clients: Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain Health History: Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Ensure Clean and Safe Environment: Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Mentor and Support Team Members: Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills: Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care. Are comfortable caring for dogs and cats, or any other animal that may need emergency or urgent care. Embody our core values: service, compassion, integrity, and quality.
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a strong foundation in veterinary technology and relevant certifications.
