We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Associate to support JLL's NYC Leasing business. This role will have several professional-level accounting and finance responsibilities as detailed below.
Key Responsibilities- Month-end Close Procedures: Ensure that deadlines are met and data provided is accurate (submitting revenue accruals, tracking deal closings for revenue recognition purposes, entering journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations).
- Financial Package Preparation: Prepare selected parts of the monthly financial package for business line leads and provide ad-hoc analysis/follow-up as requested.
- Quarterly Forecasts: Assist with preparing quarterly forecasts.
- Transaction Support: Interact with brokers and operations team to ensure the timely and accurate closing of leasing transactions.
- Accounts Receivable: Assist with accounts receivable tracking and research on past-due items.
- Cash Application: Assist the AR team with cash application processes.
- Accounts Payable: Accounts payable support for expenses, co-broker payments, and client rebates.
- Revenue Forecasting: Analyze deal pipelines for revenue forecasting purposes.
- Expense Management: Assist operational leads and brokers/admins with expense submissions and reimbursement requests.
- Intercompany Fee Shares: Coordinate and track intercompany fee shares between JLL entities.
- Commission Analysis: Commission analysis and approvals for broker payments.
- Accounting Degree: Accounting degree.
- Experience: Experience (2+ years) working in an accounting/finance capacity in a corporate environment, with public company experience preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the commercial real estate industry is a plus.
- Financial Systems: Financial systems experience, with Oracle/Peoplesoft preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various internal stakeholders (including many non-finance personnel).
- Collaboration: Collaborative and team-focused mentality.
- Organization Skills: Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Process Improvement: History of helping improve processes and gain efficiencies.
