Job Summary

The RN Clinic Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, triage, and education in a fast-paced clinic environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rooms patients, reviews health history, and addresses preventative maintenance issues.
  • Accurately collects and records data, meeting requirements of Meaningful Use and The Joint Commission.
  • Performs triage duties, including telephone and direct patient care.
  • Establishes teaching protocols for patient education, family counseling, and staff.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of medical procedures, exams, and specialized equipment.
  • Assists with appointment scheduling, referrals, and diagnostic testing.
  • Administers medication by all routes, as ordered by the provider.
  • Conducts proper biohazard waste disposal and follows Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan components.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • One year in hospital or clinic experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Current Wisconsin nursing license (RN) and BLS Certificate required.
