The High-Performance Power team is seeking a motivated, experienced Applications Engineer to provide support to our Multi-market power BU located at ADI's San Jose, CA office. In this position, you'll work with the best engineering teams on the most innovative products in the industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product validation and evaluation, application investigation, demonstration systems and reference designs
  • Development of customer-facing collateral, including evaluation boards, design tools, simulation models, presentations, and technical articles
  • Guiding customers through system integration, optimization, troubleshooting, and testing
  • Conducting product/application technical training for FAEs and customers
  • Engaging with customers and the sales organization to translate their requirements into next-generation product ideas
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenge problems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Good understanding of analog circuitry, DC-DC converter topologies, and control theory
  • Hands-on experience with analysis, design, and debug skills on power converters
  • Familiarity with common PCB design tools and circuit simulation tools
  • Well-organized and detailed-oriented person
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Established capability for independent thinking and problem-solving

Preferred qualifications:

  • IC design and application experience

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $97,060 to $133,458. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus, which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
