Position Summary

As an Airfield Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities related to airfield operations within the Aviation Department during your assigned shift. Your primary focus will be to ensure safe and proper airfield conditions while executing a variety of administrative, professional, and technical tasks that support airfield operations safety.

This position is safety-sensitive and subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Additional Requirements

Education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in aviation management, airport operations, aviation/aerospace, engineering, business administration, or public administration; and

- Four (4) years of experience in airport or airline operations; and

- Including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Preferred certifications include Airport Certified Employee (ACE), Certified Member (C.M.), American Association of Airport Executives Accreditation (AAE), or FAA Part 139 certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain one by the date of hire.

- Must obtain a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six months from the date of hire.

- Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Ability to qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as per the Aviation Department and TSA guidelines.

- Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
