As a Counselor/Associate Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders to improve their daily living and working abilities.

Under the close supervision of a Qualified Addiction Professional, you will collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans, facilitate counseling sessions, and provide comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client screening/assessment processes under licensed/qualified counselor supervision
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services provided
  • Facilitate group counseling, family conferences, and individual sessions
  • Assist clients in transitioning through the recovery process
  • Complete required training and professional development
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues
  • Manage crisis situations and notify supervisors as per policies

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by either the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. or the appropriate board of professional registration with the Department of Economic Development for licensure as a psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect
  • Obtain driver's license in state of residency
  • Willingness to become licensed in additional states and provide telehealth services
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment
  • Completion of required training (e.g., New Hire Orientation, Relias Learning, Behavioral Management)
