We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Companion Animal Clinic in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation package includes a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per year, as well as flexible work hours and a comprehensive benefits program.
Job DescriptionAs an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for performing physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical operations. You will also communicate with clients about their pets' diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care needs.
- Develops rapport with clients by gathering information and empathizing with their concerns.
- Performs high-quality medical procedures while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Communicates effectively with clients regarding pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Maintains accurate client/patient records through established protocols.
- Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
To be considered for this position, you must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution or equivalent. You must also be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oregon.
- Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA-accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
