As an Electrical Compliance Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to established codes and regulations within the electrical sector. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical oversight and inspection services for electrical installations and modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with national standards and safety regulations.
2. Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and plans for electrical installations, verifying that all components meet regulatory requirements.
3. Collaborate with builders, developers, and engineers to resolve construction-related issues, fostering a cooperative environment.
4. Monitor permit applications and ensure that no unauthorized electrical work is being conducted.
5. Prepare detailed reports on inspections, outlining findings, actions taken, and recommendations for further action.
6. Stay informed about changes in electrical codes and standards, providing guidance and training to other inspectors as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience as a journeyman in the electrical field, with knowledge of additional construction disciplines preferred.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and relevant ordinances.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, including plans and blueprints.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to weather elements and electrical hazards.
