Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Right at Home. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving clients
  • Administering medication reminders
  • Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Assisting with transferring and moving clients from place to place
  • Providing dementia care
  • Performing housekeeping activities, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, and doing laundry
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
  • Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
  • Providing companionship activities, such as reading, music, puzzles, and more
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Six months of experience as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant in healthcare settings
  • Successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course
  • Current CPR certification (recommended)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Valid driver's license and access to insured transportation
