Position Overview: Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS) for a full-time role within our dynamic vascular clinic, equipped with two office-based lab (OBL) suites. In this position, you will engage with a diverse range of vascular conditions and collaborate closely with our physicians and mid-level providers to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure accurate exam ordering and communicate with physicians regarding any necessary changes.
- Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment for procedures.
- Utilize advanced cognitive sonographic skills to identify and document anatomical and pathological findings.
- Exercise independent judgment during exams to distinguish between normal and abnormal results.
- Analyze ultrasound data, synthesize medical history, and relay findings to the appropriate physician.
- Complete and verify accurate billing for examinations.
- Prepare preliminary reports and liaise with external referring physicians as required.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Address patient care issues as they arise and make informed decisions to resolve them.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the designated supervisor.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance patient care.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology Program.
- Current Registered Vascular Technologist certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in operating sonographic equipment, including Mindray DC-8, GE E10, and Parks Physiologic Machine.
- Familiarity with the Medstreaming reporting system.
- Competence in performing various vascular exams, including but not limited to: Lower and Upper Arterial Duplex, Lower and Upper Venous Duplex (DVT and Reflux studies), Abdominal Aorta Duplex, Mesenteric Artery Duplex, Renal Artery Duplex, Carotid Duplex, and Hemodialysis Duplex.
Physical Requirements: The role involves moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and requires the ability to stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions.
