We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist I to join our team at Power Systems Mfg., LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Operations: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC multi-axis equipment, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure completed components to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments and knowledge of mathematics.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machine tools to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong background in mathematics and science.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in industry, with specific skills related to manual and CNC machining of multi-axis machines.
- Certifications: CNC programming certification or documented training is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Familiarity with Fanuc Controls, programming experience with multi-axis CNC equipment, and working knowledge of GD&T.
- Physical Activity: Stooping, crouching, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion.
- Vision: Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and inspecting parts.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to noise, hazards, and physical demands of a manufacturing environment.
