Job Overview:
This role is essential for executing all assembly tasks related to pipes, vessels, and structural components necessary for the completion of process equipment units intended for client delivery.
The primary objective of this position is to mechanically assemble, conduct pressure tests, and ensure that the final assembled equipment aligns with engineering specifications and adheres to the production timeline, while meeting Quality Standards.
The aim is to position the Manufacturing Department as a leading and highly regarded process equipment group within the industry and among our clientele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position encompasses two distinct Grade Levels.
The responsibilities for each grade include, but are not limited to:
- Fit-up and assemble all piping spools
- Conduct hydro testing
- Skillfully operate and bend pneumatic control tubing
- Perform pneumatic testing
- Assemble internal components of vessels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and general assembly drawings with a high degree of precision
- Successfully execute point-to-point wiring for power and control systems
- Install and trial-fit external accessories
- Prepare equipment for shipping
- Cut and prepare pipe and structural components
- Load and unload equipment for transport
- Possess knowledge of valves, instruments, and fittings
- Demonstrate leadership and planning capabilities
- Understand quality requirements
- Make informed decisions
- Complete tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Exhibit reliable and punctual attendance
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires exceptional proficiency in pipe and structural assembly within pressure piping and process vessel manufacturing. Candidates should possess strong mechanical and piping skills, along with an appropriate level of experience. A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training is required, with a preference for candidates with advanced vocational welding training. Familiarity with ASME/ANSI Piping Codes is advantageous, and experience in an ISO 9000 environment is recommended. A solid understanding of shop processes, materials, equipment, and assembly tools is highly valued.
