We are seeking a highly skilled Childbirth Educator to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to meet the needs of our staff, patients, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess educational needs across units and departments, utilizing available data and accreditation recommendations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design, implement, and evaluate programs to meet identified needs.
- Provide effective hospital education, training, and delivery to achieve performance outcomes for leading best practice and safe patient care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to support department and entity goals.
- Integrate evidence-based practice, instructional technology, and adult learning theory into educational offerings.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
- Master's degree preferred, in health or education field.
- Four years clinical experience, with education experience preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or Compact State licensure within 60 days.
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
- ANCC Recognized Certification in an applicable specialty area within 6 months.
