Maintenance Technician

As a General Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and repair the physical structure of our buildings. This includes performing repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components, as well as maintaining and repairing locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture, and controllers. You will also be responsible for maintaining and completing documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems, as well as performing general handyman tasks to maintain buildings. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting building interior and exterior surfaces, and performing general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures and installing keyboard trays. You will also be responsible for completing special tasks as assigned, including but not limited to painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance. You will be required to move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested, and perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. You will also be responsible for responding effectively to all emergencies, complying with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas, recognizing danger and safety hazards, and proposing methods to eliminate them. You will also be required to comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. You will also be responsible for cleaning HVAC coils, changing filters and belts, completing hazard assessments as necessary, documenting work performance and materials procurement as directed, and performing vehicle safety inspections. All other duties assigned by management will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable. You will also need to have at least 3+ years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are also essential. You will need to possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and painting, carpentry, and minor masonry skills are preferred. You will also need to be able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., and safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft. You will also need to be able to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc. to test and perform maintenance.
