We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Mobile Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing portable x-rays in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to patient locations to perform portable x-rays using a company vehicle equipped with a compact, portable x-ray machine (DR).
- Determine proper electronic and technical factors based on patient needs.
- Follow ALARA principles for reducing radiation exposure.
- Prepare accurate physician and patient orders and transmit reading as required in a timely manner.
- Set, adjust, and operate a variety of electronic equipment to obtain diagnostic images that may include EKG's and Holter Monitor.
- Ensure the equipment is available and in working order (in the vehicle) prior to shift start and shift end.
- Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.
- Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)
- Limited Scope X-ray Operator — in accordance with State-specific requirements
- State x-ray license (if applicable)
- Has a valid state-issued driver's license and maintains a good driving record
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
