- Role: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
- Department: South Meadows Telemetry
- Patient Care: Involves managing patients with conditions such as CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures.
- Purpose: To provide optimal patient care through the application of nursing knowledge and skills.
- Scope of Work: Responsible for diagnosing and addressing health responses, offering comprehensive nursing services to a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, along with their families.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in telemetry nursing is required.
- Competency Exam: Candidates must successfully complete a telemetry competency assessment, which includes the ability to identify and interpret rhythm strips.
- Shift: 3x12, Nights
- Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours
- Call Requirements: No call is necessary.
- Medications: Includes non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro).
- Floating: May be required to float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry/medical assignments or medical-surgical units as needed.
- Travelers may be asked to float based on organizational needs, within their competency level.
- Work during major holidays may be required, and one additional shift during the scheduled period is expected.
- The organization reserves the right to adjust schedules based on census needs.
- Work schedules may include weekends and holidays.
