We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director/Scientific Director, Medical Affairs to join our team at AbbVie. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days onsite in Lake County, Illinois.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist medical and scientific input into core medical affairs activities, including health-care professional and provider interactions, clinical and scientific data generation, and educational initiatives.
- Work closely with commercial teams to provide strategic medical input into core brand strategies and support medical affairs, marketing activities, and market access.
- Initiate medical affairs activities, generate and disseminate data supporting the overall scientific strategy.
- Oversee the conduct of clinical trials and be medically and scientifically accountable for resolution of safety issues, interpretation of statistical analyses, and other scientific reports.
- Participate in design and execution of clinical trial safety, product safety, and risk management plans.
- Have overall responsibility for oversight of clinical studies, monitoring overall study integrity, and review, interpretation, and communication of accumulating data.
- Strong scientific and medical knowledge, with expertise in therapeutic areas and disease-specific information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop scientifically accurate marketing materials, medical education programs, and advisories.
- Strong project management skills, with ability to oversee budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements.
