Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain competency in pharmacy operations, including dispensing and delivery of medications, insurance verification, and label generation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions and other pharmacy-related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of pharmacy procedures, policies, and regulations, including controlled substance procedures and USP requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire, or sooner if required by law.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from floor to chest-level and push/pull with 30 pounds of force.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
