Medical Professional for Outpatient and Inpatient Duties

Welcome to Allied Digestive Health, a leading gastroenterology practice in Albany, NY. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Professional to join our team as a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient and inpatient environment, focusing on patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while collaborating with healthcare team members.
About the RoleWe require candidates with hospitalist or strong primary care experience, current licensure, and exemplary patient service skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Has, or eligible for, hospital privileges
- Comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail
- Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner
- Can demonstrate exemplary patient service skills and display courteousness and respect
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to remain cordial throughout the workday as well as to maintain patience under occasional stressful situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills: Electronic medical records, MS Office
- Demonstrates strong time management skills and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws and safeguards and be able to always follow these guidelines
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure NY in good standing
- Current DEA certificate
