Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care to promote optimal clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide direct patient care based on the nursing process, mentoring others to ensure quality and excellence in care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Promote improvements in treatment area processes and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Conduct general physiologic monitoring and patient care equipment management, including EKG and IV pump operation.
  • Accountable for own decisions regarding patient care and identify impending changes in patient condition.
  • Analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care, identifying areas for quality improvement.
  • Mentor others to promote quality, safety, and excellence in clinical care, precepting RNs and CMAs as needed.
  • Set unit goals in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, contributing to the accomplishment of practice and organizational goals.
  • Promote and identify quality improvement initiatives aligned with departmental and organizational safety and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maryland or state of practice.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related discipline (preferred).
