Job Description: Bartender

We are seeking a personable and engaging Bartender who excels in communication and customer service. The ideal candidate will be organized, quick-thinking, and maintain composure under pressure. A successful Bartender is not only a skilled mixologist but also a dedicated salesperson who prioritizes guest satisfaction and has a keen sense of timing. Personal appearance and integrity are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages as per state regulations.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the primary language of the workplace.
  • Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and handling cash transactions.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, along with familiarity with standard drink recipes.
  • Able to remain stationary for extended periods, up to 8 hours when necessary.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
  • Effectively communicate with guests to ensure their needs are met.
  • Take full responsibility for delivering a quality experience to guests.
  • Gather information regarding daily specials and side work from management at the beginning of each shift.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of company bar standards and utilize them to manage the bar efficiently.
  • Collaborate as a team with all staff members.
  • Maintain ongoing side work throughout the shift and complete closing tasks as assigned by management.
  • Work alongside others to keep all areas clean and stocked according to our standards.
  • Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with company recipes.
  • Learn the names of regular patrons and recognize them.
  • Process guest payments, including credit card transactions and providing change when necessary.
  • Wash and sanitize glassware to maintain cleanliness.
  • Organize bottles and glasses attractively to support efficient drink preparation and promote beverage offerings.
  • Assist in restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of guest relations, bar standards, liquor, beer, and wine knowledge, POS system operation, side work responsibilities, drink recipes, mixology, menu knowledge, and local and state laws regarding bartending and alcohol service.
