Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of plasma from donors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and FDA guidelines.
  2. Evaluate vein performance and make necessary corrections to expedite donation time and ensure product quality and donor safety.
  3. Ensure donation process is efficient and make adjustments as needed to provide a positive experience for donors.
  4. May educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma.
  5. Monitor donor flow and alert Group Leader or Supervisor of any issues.
  6. Collect arm samples or whole blood samples from donors for testing.
  7. Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum eighteen (18) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
  • Specialized medical or phlebotomy training preferred.
Working Conditions

The Phlebotomist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The position requires the ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the time, reach, bend, and have high manual dexterity. The Phlebotomist will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
