We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Raisso. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional oral health care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventive oral health education and dental hygiene services to patients.
- Work with administrative staff to schedule hygiene patients efficiently.
- Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health.
- Counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition.
- Apply cavity-preventative agents, such as fluorides and sealants.
- Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis to patients.
- Take radiographs for patients as prescribed by dentist.
- Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act.
- Perform scaling, root planning and selective polishing or patients as appropriate.
- Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary.
- Oversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilization procedures.
- Counsel patients in Tobacco Cessation.
- Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with office policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.
- Minimum 2 years current experience required.
- Michigan Dental Hygiene license required.
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene required.
- Experience with Cavitron Required.
- Dentrix EMR Experience required.
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.
