The Certified Clinical Assistant (CCA) position is essential within our healthcare team in an outpatient environment. You will work in close collaboration with healthcare professionals from diverse specialties and engage with both clinical and administrative personnel to guarantee outstanding patient care. Primary Responsibilities

  • Professionally welcome and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, faculty, and staff.
  • Effectively prepare patients for their appointments by gathering necessary information, conducting preliminary assessments, and assisting with various tasks.
  • Deliver patient instructions clearly to ensure safety and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff during examinations, procedures, and therapy sessions.
  • Accurately perform phlebotomy procedures and point-of-care tests.
  • Ensure prompt collection and delivery of specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Support the maintenance of a seamless clinic flow and respond to emergencies with urgency.

Front Desk Coordination

  • Work alongside Front Desk personnel to improve patient care delivery and flow.
  • Oversee patient flow within the facility utilizing electronic systems.
  • Act as a communication bridge between physicians and patients.
  • Maintain medical records and ensure adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Handle check-out processes, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Manage phone communications efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification from a recognized credentialing organization.
  • Current BCLS/AED certification.
  • Strong dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Electronic Health Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Positive demeanor, strong work ethic, and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Willingness to provide coverage across multiple locations as required.
