This role will collaborate closely with the Clean Transportation Program Director in the Division of Citywide Services to formulate policies, initiatives, and programs that support the City's transition to electrified transportation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the management of funding initiatives aimed at deploying electric commercial fleets and public charging infrastructure, with a focus on benefiting underserved communities.
  • Conducts research and applies for funding opportunities related to transportation electrification to mitigate harmful emissions.
  • Oversees the distribution of grant funds, ensuring proper monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the utilization of these funds.
  • Engages in national and local networks to remain updated on the latest funding opportunities and best practices in effective program development.
  • Participates in community outreach to collaboratively design impactful projects.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

WORK LOCATION: 2 North LaSalle Street, 9th floor

WORK HOURS: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

THIS POSITION IS CLASSIFIED AS CAREER SERVICE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related discipline, along with three years of experience in program management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Candidates must successfully complete an interview process. The selected candidate(s) will be those who best meet the qualifications necessary to fulfill the role's responsibilities.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

· Prior experience in promoting or implementing clean transportation solutions, including electric vehicles or charging stations.
