Advanced Practice Healthcare Provider

The University Hospitals is seeking a dedicated Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to outpatients and facilitate procedures such as pacemaker insertions, defibrillator insertions, loop records, and ablations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Nursing and 1+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Key responsibilities include assisting Electrophysiologists with patient evaluations, procedure education, and post-procedure follow-up care. The candidate will work Monday - Friday in the outpatient electrophysiology clinic and assist with management of anticoagulant patients.

- Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self (5%)

- Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism (5%)
- Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
- (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships (Required proficiency)
- Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required) and
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
