Job Description

Leading Path Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Database Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and testing of complex data infrastructure in support of our customer needs.

This role requires a strong background in database engineering and administration, with a focus on high-volume data processing. You will work closely with our cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineers to support the development and maintenance of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement network architectures based on customer data requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide recommendations on how to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements of data systems and platforms.
  • Develop unique solutions that meet customer requirements and industry best practices.
  • Write and update technical documentation, such as data system documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • At least eight (8) years of related experience in database engineering and administration of systems for complex and high-volume data processing.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience designing, installing, administrating, upgrading, patching, and performance tuning Oracle databases.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with administration and configuration of database solutions for document and geospatial data/capabilities.
  • Prior experience supporting database systems for the Sponsor or the IC for CT mission.
  • Prior experience supporting database systems for data collections unique to the Sponsor or the IC.
  • Experience delivering or integrating solutions using RDBMS technologies and NoSQL technologies.
