Animal Caregiver for 18+ Canines

The Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary is seeking a compassionate and skilled Animal Caregiver to join our team. As an Animal Caregiver, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of 18+ dogs in our sanctuary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Caring for 18+ dogs including feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs by cleaning and disinfecting the barn, kennels, and surrounding areas
• Providing regular exercise and socialization for the dogs through walking and playtime
• Assisting with events and promotions at the sanctuary as needed
• Organizing and maintaining supplies, laundry, and other tasks related to animal care

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience working with animals, preferably in a caregiving or management role
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple dogs

Benefits:

• A competitive hourly rate of $16-$18 per hour

Schedule:

• 4-hour shifts available, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to commit to a set schedule
