Dishroom Attendant

Job Summary

The Kitchen Utility is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen by operating dishwashing equipment, removing garbage and recycling, and cleaning work areas. This role represents the hotel to all guests and completes daily duties and assigned projects in accordance with the principles, policies, and standards of Earth Fare.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and shut down the dish station according to hotel guidelines.
• Remove trash and recycling, sweep, and mop assigned areas.
• Clean dishes using the proper method, including aluminum sheet pans and other related items in 3-compartment sinks.
• Ensure dishes are clean, sanitized, and free of debris before storing with other clean dishes.
• Store dishes in proper storage spaces, such as same-size plates together, same-type glasses together, and same-flatware together.
• Have working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and use it properly.
• Complete all assigned cleaning functions as specified by the supervisor during the working shift.
• Notify the supervisor of potential safety hazards and customer complaints.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of previous experience in a kitchen environment is required.
• Must be team-oriented, empathetic, friendly, and show initiative.
• Must be able to represent the hotel in a professional manner to hotel guests.
