Role Overview

The Escalation Trailing Docs Analyst plays a crucial role in resolving complex issues related to legal closing documents, including recorded security instruments, legal descriptions, deeds, and final title policies. Additionally, this position involves processing incoming trailing document mail, chasing missing documents, reviewing and delivering final documents to investors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve escalated issues.
  • Determine the most effective resolution path and implement it.
  • Collaborate with title companies and settlement agents to obtain corrective documentation or locate missing trailing documents.
  • Develop and manage investor reporting.
  • Oversee the final document pipeline for assigned investors.
  • Provide necessary information to investors as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, and Adobe.
  • In-depth knowledge of trailing documents, including recordation processes and review of various types of documents (mortgages, titles, power of attorney, etc.).
  • Familiarity with investor requirements.
  • Understanding of county/city registry/recording processes.
  • Knowledge of legal descriptions and property mapping.
  • Able to correct trailing documents.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a strong team player mentality.
