We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at the Gateway Region YMCA. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various motorized and non-motorized equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mowers, and snow blowers.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record and report all maintenance requests, repairs, and incidents.
- Supply Management: Replenish soap, paper towels, and other supplies as needed.
- Event Support: Assist with setting up furniture and equipment for events.
- Security: Ensure the YMCA building and property are secure during your shift and report any incidents or hazardous conditions to your supervisor.
- 18 years of age or older
- 6 months or more of related experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe and efficient use
