Position Overview: We currently have openings for Trimmer Operators on both 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm) and 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM). This role includes a new shift differential pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure books and inspect bindings for quality assurance.
- Maintain comprehensive records to ensure products meet established quality benchmarks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations while upholding a professional workspace.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, technical support, and fellow team members.
- Thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comprehend printing jobs and follow detailed instructions.
- Change trimmer knives as necessary.
- Assess label and carton quality.
- Conduct weekly preventative maintenance on equipment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including weekends as required.
- Prior experience as a trimmer operator is essential.
- Strong focus on safety and quality.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliability and punctuality are crucial.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Possess positive communication skills to foster teamwork.
