Forensic Medicine Nurse Practitioner Role

Providence Medical Forensic Program is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its new Providence SAFE Center clinic in Portland, Oregon. The clinic provides comprehensive, trauma-informed care to individuals who have experienced sexual, physical, and/or psychological violence. The Nurse Practitioner will perform physical examinations, collect evidence, administer medications, and provide counseling and/or referrals to appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical examinations and collect evidence
  • Administer medications and provide counseling
  • Refer patients to appropriate resources

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute and/or ambulatory care setting
  • Previous experience as a Forensic Nurse is strongly preferred
  • Required licensure Oregon State Board of Nursing APRN; Board-certified in Family Medicine; Oregon DEA
