Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate and personalized care to patients with diverse medical needs.

Job Description

Patient Care Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
