Key Responsibilities

Assist surgical teams during procedures in the operating room under the guidance of a registered nurse. This includes the preparation and handling of sterile instruments and supplies for a variety of surgical interventions. Ensure adherence to established protocols and regulations to maintain compliance and safeguard patient welfare.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or a clinical-based training program
  • A minimum of six months of experience in an operating room or outpatient surgical setting
  • Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Operating Room Technician
  • One year of experience in an operating room
  • Certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
