Herr Foods Inc. is a leading manufacturer and distributor of salty snack foods, seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Nottingham, PA team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
  • Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, performing preventive maintenance as required.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and repairing equipment breakdowns in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
Requirements
  • Possess mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills, as well as knowledge of PLC Technology and industrial electronics.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools, as well as motor vehicles, including a forklift.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
  • Must pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers, including turning handles, valves, and using assorted hand tools; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; climb stairs or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or bend.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
