Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
- Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, performing preventive maintenance as required.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and repairing equipment breakdowns in a timely and thorough manner.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
- Possess mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills, as well as knowledge of PLC Technology and industrial electronics.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to operate hand and power tools, as well as motor vehicles, including a forklift.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
- Must pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
- Frequently use hands and fingers, including turning handles, valves, and using assorted hand tools; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; climb stairs or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or bend.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
