Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with educators and parents to establish achievable goals for students.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups, focusing on improving articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the implementation of therapeutic strategies within the classroom and home environments.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations regarding speech and language goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress according to school policies and state regulations.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed of current research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology to continually enhance service delivery and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program.
  • Certification: ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and Washington state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of various communication disorders and their impact on learning and development, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills and ability to manage caseload effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
