Purpose of the Role: The Certified Nurse Aide is responsible for performing a range of tasks to ensure exceptional care and support for patients, fostering a positive healthcare experience.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience, with proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding medical terminology.
- Possession of a Certified Nurse Aide license in South Dakota.
- Physical capabilities to assist patients, necessitating knowledge of body mechanics; requires standing or walking for the majority of the shift.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
- Cross-training in various functions is required.
Work Environment:
- Direct interaction with patients and visitors, with potential exposure to communicable diseases. Frequent contact with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.
- Work is conducted in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment. Physical demands may include moderate to heavy lifting and moving of patients and equipment.
- Job responsibilities involve frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Subject to indoor environmental conditions, with minimal job hazards.
