Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the oversight of program budgets to align financial resources with project requirements.
  2. Monitor contracts with subrecipients, ensuring timely deliverables and quality outputs.
  3. Utilize grants management software to collect and analyze progress reports from various stakeholders.
  4. Prepare financial documentation for annual budget reviews.
  5. Review financial data from internal systems, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  6. Track project billing and collections, maintaining accurate records of expenditures.
  7. Engage with department representatives to discuss financial management issues.
  8. Coordinate compliance documentation for vehicle acquisitions under the Section 5310 program.
  9. Maintain organized project contract files to track budgets and expenditures effectively.
  10. Review insurance requirements from subrecipients and facilitate necessary approvals.
  11. Assist in the preparation of annual certifications and assurances from program participants.
  12. Participate in site visits and inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with program standards.
  13. Support the administration of bi-annual program solicitations and related events.
  14. Collaborate with subrecipients to gather necessary compliance documentation for review.
  15. Monitor and report on Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) spending.
  16. Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Rolling Stock Report.
  17. Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors and relevant agencies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in project or program management.
  • A solid understanding of transportation planning processes and federal grant compliance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Skills:

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency in financial management systems and a familiarity with federal grant processes will be advantageous.
