Job Summary

The Colorado Convention Center is seeking a highly skilled Security Surveillance Specialist to join our team. As a Security Surveillance Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and documenting suspicious activity, identifying patterns of behavior, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document suspicious activity, including incidents and injuries
  • Identify patterns of behavior and report any concerns to management
  • Operate digital video recorders and offload video and photos from DVRs
  • Write reports on activities seen and maintain accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a security or surveillance role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Knowledge of general laws and ordinances
Working Conditions

The Security Surveillance Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities. The position requires long periods of sitting, occasional walking, climbing stairs, and standing on cement floors. The employee may be subject to adverse working conditions, dust, grime, noise, fumes, and wet floors. The position requires irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, determined by event schedule and/or department need.
