Job Title: Structural Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Structural Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of structural assembly operations in a production department following established operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures
  2. Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all required tools
  3. Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations
  4. Check all work and ensure a defective-free assembly prior to final inspection
  5. Maintain and use all logs and records
  6. Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners
  7. Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO)
  8. Maintain a neat and orderly work area and comply with all safety regulations

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required
  2. 2 years related structural assembly experience
  3. Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  5. Basic computer skills and basic shop math skills
  6. Ability to work with composite resins and materials
  7. Ability to work any shift
  8. Ability to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces or restricted areas
  9. Ability to lift 50 lbs
