As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general and specialized maintenance and repairs in a multifamily residential community.

Job Description

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate with residents, co-workers, and management, as well as perform quality work in a safe manner. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, appliances, and equipment;
  • Testing and troubleshooting various items to assess functionality and recommend repair or replacement;
  • Applying skills in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and appliance repair to ensure quality maintained homes and community;
  • Completing resident-requested repairs and services within required time frames;
  • Participating in routine inspections, including QC, move-in, preventative maintenance, and machinery checks;
  • Maintaining and updating all assigned service requests using Yardi Mobile until completion and closure;
  • Demonstrating safe use of standard hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery;
  • Reporting any maintenance concerns for repairs on homes, community, and common areas to supervisor;
  • Attending department meetings, training sessions, and other work-related events.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' related maintenance experience;
  • An intermediate understanding of basic trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair;
  • Certifications in HVAC and EPA preferred;
  • Some supervisory or lead experience desired;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to operate small hand and electrical tools, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and small machinery repair;
  • Extensive knowledge of appliances;
  • Basic computer skills, including mobile device operation and PC navigation;
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle;
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 65 lbs, frequent reaching, stooping, bending, and kneeling;
  • Will to work in indoor and outdoor environments, in various weather conditions, and potentially hazardous situations.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00 hourly.
