Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist Opportunity

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist for a travel job in Lexington, Kentucky.
Job DescriptionServes as a vital member of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, RNs, and other surgical personnel to deliver exceptional patient care. This role assumes responsibility before, during, and after surgery, adhering to Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and AST Standards of Practice.
Certifications: BLS
Physical Requirements: Continuous standing/walking or lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (20-50 lbs)
Key Responsibilities- Function as a Surgical Technician in 5 of the 6 specialties, demonstrating responsibilities that include assisting in direct patient care in the operating room.
- Demonstrate appropriate aseptic technique, including scrubbing, gowing, draping, counting, and set up according to department policy.
- Select and prepare the appropriate supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
- Operate all surgical equipment.
- Organize instrumentation and the sterile field.
- Anticipate needs of the surgeon, pass instruments, assist in exposing the surgical field.
- Perform all surgical counts consistently, including the "safety count".
- Perform wound closure under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
- Participate in general operating room activities to create a highly effective team.
- Contribute to PI activities, continuing education, planning, and orientation of new personnel, as well as emergency preparedness.
The pay package is based on an estimated salary range of $80-$100 per hour, reflecting the demands of this high-skilled position. Tax-free stipend amount to be determined. This comprehensive compensation package ensures you are fairly rewarded for your expertise and dedication.
