Job Title: Mechanical Systems Manager

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team at EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of programs that oversee the operation, preventive maintenance, reactive repair, and replacement of mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building mechanical systems.

You will ensure all mechanical assets for up to 35-40 buildings across the U.S. are properly maintained, repaired, and managed in CMMS. As an HVAC/mechanical subject matter expert, you will advise account leadership, facilities managers, HVAC technicians, and Commercial Maintenance Technicians on appropriate steps to maintain and repair assets.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing asset maintenance programs for all appropriate HVAC and other mechanical systems. You will also program and monitor preventive maintenance programs for HVAC and other mechanical systems, collect and analyze maintenance data to make recommendations to Account Manager and customer regarding maintenance, upgrades, and/or replacement of mechanical systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or greater
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the operation of central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English required
  • Journeyman level craftsman in HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulics, Plumbing, or Automation/Controls disciplines
  • Reads and interprets Piping & Instrument Drawings (P&IDs), Floor Plans, Site Maps, and/or Electrical Diagrams
  • Experience & proven ability to repair building electrical, plumbing, & HVAC auxiliary systems
  • Familiarity of general building systems i.e. vertical lift equipment, overhead doors
