Job SummaryIndustrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in various industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and other technical documents to determine work procedures.
- Dismantle and assemble machinery using hand tools and power tools.
- Move and position heavy equipment and machinery using hoists, dollies, and other equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Align and level machinery and equipment using precision instruments.
- Operate engine lathes and other machinery to grind, file, and turn machine parts.
- Weld and rivet machinery and equipment as needed.
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to apply it to solve problems.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and bending.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
The Millwright will work in a variety of industrial settings, including factories, warehouses, and construction sites. The work environment will be fast-paced and physically demanding, with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment.
