Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your clinical expertise and critical thinking skills to make sound judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York
  • Successful completion of ACLS and BLS certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. You will be required to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the day, and may be exposed to infectious diseases and other health hazards.
