About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans to address patients' social, emotional, and environmental needs.
  • Provide individual counseling, support groups, and crisis intervention to patients and their families.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and dignity, ensuring access to care and resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and community agencies to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain financial counseling programs to support patients with financial needs.
Requirements
  • Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey (preferred)
  • Certified Oncology Social Worker (OSW-C)
  • Master of Arts or Science in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education-approved program
  • 2+ years of hospital social work or related healthcare experience
