Job Title: Traffic Engineering Project Manager

At HR Green, we are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading traffic design and planning projects across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage project activities, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Prepare thorough project proposals, scopes, budgets, and professional service agreements.
  • Manage project financials, invoicing, and assist with accounts receivable.
  • Assign and communicate budgets, schedules, and deadlines to project team members.
  • Provide clear guidance and supervision to the project team, making critical decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Promote repeat and referral business, actively seeking new opportunities.
  • Take an active role in developing, coaching, and mentoring staff, delegating tasks and providing on-the-job training.
  • Provide feedback on the performance of project team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited engineering university in a relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on traffic-related projects, including studies, analysis, traffic signal design, and modeling.
  • Possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with PTOE Certification preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage project financials, schedules, and budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with critical thinking skills.
  • Effective client management, leading projects to generate repeat and referral clients.
  • Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong delegation and communication skills to coordinate the work of the project team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and other disciplines and managers.
  • Ability and desire to lead, mentor, train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Experience working with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, Corsim, Microstation/Geopak, SignCAD, and Rodel is desired.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, and APWA is desired.
